As a hypermobile and neurodivergent athlete, Jordan did a spectacular job at meeting my needs while helping me address some persistent gaps in my movement practice that were holding me back from advancing my acrobatic skills. Jordan and I worked together on handstands during the pandemic before vaccines were available. I was recovering from a brain injury and had a lot of difficulty with screens, but since virtual instruction was our only available option, Jordan worked with my disability. She used descriptive language with me so I could move body without having to look at the screen. She taught me how to pay attention to my muscles and form, making tiny adjustments along the way so I could build strength and tap into strength I didn't know I had. She was patient and encouraging, and she helped me understand that progress is always happening, even when it feels like it isn’t.
